Membership Categories

GTA NSW & ACT offers a variety of membership categories to suit the needs of schools, educators, and organisations.

1. Secondary School Membership (7-12) & (K-12)

Open to secondary schools, allowing members to access activities and events. Up to ten staff can be registered under this membership.

K-12 schools can purchase membership for up to ten members; five for primary level and five for secondary level.

Schools: Must join with a school/institute email.

2. Primary School Membership  (K-6) & (K-12)

This membership is open to all K-6 primary schools, providing access to activities and events at the special primary rate.  Up to five members per membership.

K-12 schools can purchase membership for up to ten members; five for primary level and five for secondary level.

Schools: Must join with a school/institute email.

3. Concessional Membership

Available to teachers not in full-time employment. Concessional Members enjoy all the benefits of a Personal Member.

4. Personal Membership

Provides individual teachers access to all Association activities and events at discounted rates.

• • • Members are encouraged to become active in the Association, including joining as GTA Councillors.
  • • Entitled to vote at GTA meetings.
  • Emailed a copy of each new edition of the GTA Bulletin.

5. Pre-Service Teachers

Pre-service teachers (sign up with a university email) receive all the benefits of a Personal Member, except they:

• • • Cannot hold office.
  • Cannot vote at Association meetings.

Important Note: Pre-service teachers MUST register using their university email to join at this level.

6. Corporate Membership

Designed for corporate organisations (e.g., publishers, commercial institutions). Benefits include:

• • • Discounts to exhibit at events.
  • Up to ten members per membership.
